[[700 Technical Outline of Repair of Aortic Dissection]] # Carbon Dioxide - Bring line from supply onto the field - Bent suction tubing - Bent metal tip of a blower-mister - Stitch into the most caudal end of the wound, passing it underneath the sternal retractor - Turn it on early in the case to flood the field with carbon dioxide - Keep all suction devices out of the field if possible, keep suction to lowest possible setting if they are necessary so you don't suck the carbon dioxide out of the field, drawing in normal nitrogen rich air into the wound instead. - Triple check that it is on
